Things you might never realize unless you were leaving the U.S. for an extended amount of time:
* Macintosh Powerbook G4's have dual voltage (i.e. 110V/220V)
* If you don't want to break your cell phone contract on AT & T Wireless, you can downgrade to the cheapest service possible, and its still cheaper than breaking your contract ($175 to do so!).
*Skype webcams for Mac OS 10.3.9 are hard to come by.
*Traveller's insurance can insure that your remains are transported back to your home country. Hm.
*You have alot of food in your pantry that may not get eaten by the time you leave.
*You may get summoned for jury duty during the time you're gone.
*Brush up on politics. People outside of the US know more about our politics than Americans themselves.
*Familiarity with loved ones is under valued.
*People love you more than you think.
*People will miss you.
*You are a source of joy for someone and without your presence, something feels incomplete.

Yes and yes and I especially agree with the last four of these. I love you and will miss you when you're gone!!
I will SOOOOOOOOO miss you.
We broke our contract without paying anything but the current bill (but since you will be backin 6 months your way is probably the best) but here is what you can do in the future.
We called At&T and asked to talk to the supervisor, talked with her and then sent the immigration paper PDF File(sent to us thru email by the pursur on the ship) to the supervisor via email...thus proving living on a ship in Liberia for x amount of time (that negates proving living at an actual address in Liberia). End of story...
But for you, it may be better to keep your same number for immersion back in to the Cali life.
See ya soon.
I have an iSight if you still need a webcam thats compatible.
